Educating and Promoting
Many of us have heard stories about sisters being harassed, fined or persecuted for wearing the Hijab. And many might argue with us on why we don’t talk about the “hijab” trend that has been so successful that even very big companies started selling head covering products.
The difference is they don’t know Islam and do not promote the true concept of Hijab based on islamic sources, the Hijab is way more than just having our heads covered, many conditions are linked to it.
Since we started, we stood on certain principles and values that we shared with our followers, not trying to blame but rather educate sisters about the true concept of Hijab.
Islam was completed at the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and therefore rulings regarding acts of worship ended at that time.
No experience, no religious level, no thinking should be taken as primary conditions to dictate how an act of worship should be carried.
« What about those who just accepted Islam ?»
« What about those who have weak eemaan ?»
When doing an act of worship seeking Allah’s Face, conditions are vital for the validity of your acts. Fasting only in the morning in Ramadan doesn’t make your fasting valid, and the fact that you are at a weak level of eemaan or you are a new muslim will not be an excuse to make it a valid act of worship. The same mindset should be applied when we discuss the Hijab. And, yes, levels differ from one person to another and it might take a bit of time, but it should be clarified and understood for everyone so we can head towards the right direction.
We were ordered to stay away from
tabarruj, ordered to cover in order to conceal, ordered to conceal to not commit tabarruj. When you cover yourself but choose to commit tabarruj, you are doing what is called a contradiction.
This is a reminder not aimed to divide us but to bring us together upon the truth.
Allah says ( Translation ) :
By time,
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
